Changelog. What changed in Marker, newest first.

November 2026

  • A second opinion on unsure matches

When Marker isn't sure a save belongs in a Space, a second check weighs in. If both agree, it's filed; if not, it waits in your Inbox.

  • A fresh look

Coloured icons in the sidebar, a clearer Settings page, category chips and a tab bar in the phone app.

  • Caught as you save

With Auto Sync on, pressing Save on an Instagram, X or Facebook post copies it into Marker a few seconds later, pictures and video included.

  • Save a link from the clipboard

A button in the extension, and a shortcut that works from any app: Ctrl+Shift+9.

  • Star counts on GitHub repos

Saved repositories show how many stars they have, on cards, in the feed and in the pop-up.

  • Marker in your AI tools

Connect Claude, Cursor and other MCP tools to search and read your library, using a token you control.

  • New Space from a brief

Describe what a Space is for. Marker picks the saves that fit, says why, and notes what you haven't saved yet.

  • Shop by colour

A save's colour swatches open the Library filtered to that colour.

  • Up next Inbox

New saves arrive one card at a time, each with where it should go and what to do. Undo any decision.

October 2026

  • Smart Actions

Install, try, apply or file: one suggested next step per save, on cards, in the feed and on your phone. Mark it done or set a reminder.

  • Organize your Chrome bookmarks

Review folder suggestions inside the app, one card at a time. Accepting moves the bookmark in Chrome too.

  • Smaller storage, same saves

Screenshots, page copies and videos take much less space, and look the same.

  • Videos play in place

YouTube, Vimeo and Loom links in posts play inline. X Articles open in the reader with their own title and cover.

  • Spaces, rebuilt

One page per Space with Library, Board and Outline tabs, a readable address, and a What's new brief at the top.

  • Share a Space

Turn any Space into a read-only public link.

  • Remind me

Snooze any save until the day you choose.

  • Gloss reader

A clean reader for articles and PDFs with highlights, margin notes, a notebook, focus mode, read aloud and AI answers on a passage. Fact-check a passage against the web.

  • Bookshelf

Books in your library sit on shelves, one per topic.

  • Notes

A visual editor with [[links]], backlinks, images, version history and Markdown import. Notes tag and summarise themselves.

  • Time-travel search

Add “last week” or “February 2021” to any search.

  • Drop in files

Drag PDFs and screenshots straight into the Library.

  • Live view

Browse the bookmarked sites themselves, inside the Library.

  • A globe for your places

The Places and Restaurants maps can show a 3D globe.

  • Phone app

An installable app for your phone with Library, Search, Maps and Profile, quick actions and swipe to close.

  • Chat that does more

Chat with Library can search, count and list across your library, return many more results, and add places from Google Maps when you ask.

September 2026

  • 13 categories

Every save is sorted into a category such as Recipes, Places or Books, each with map, cover or gallery layouts and filters by country and city.

  • Google Maps lists

Sync your saved Maps lists, with every place pinned and labelled by type.

  • Whole threads from X

Saving a post keeps the author's full thread and its links.

  • Facebook saves

Bring in your Facebook saved items, collection by collection.

  • Fuller LinkedIn saves

Documents, videos and every image in a post are kept, and posts that only share a link keep the linked page.

  • Entities and graph

A page for every person, company and place in your saves, and a faster graph with clusters, filters and search.

  • Sharper search

Better-ranked results that refine in the background, and every page screenshot checked for quality.

  • Deleted, not gone

Deleted saves go to a Deleted section first, and deletions can sync both ways with Chrome.
